Origin of the name Conchitas

The names are lost in the swirl of time, and in a vast nearly untouched pampa ... 

The name :  Shells appears in property  titles to the area near the stream since late 1700. Historians say  that the origin of the name is due to the abundance of shells in the area and also the exploitation of them for use as calcium oxide. But, today there is no trace of these shells, nor abandoned quarries where excavations were made​​. 

However, there is an important fact to consider, in clean waterways of the Rio de la Plata are bivalves. These freshwater bivalves live buried in the mud and leave their shells to die. Perhaps there were  existed in other  time in this area, and giving rise to the name Shells.

Los nombres  se pierden en el remolino del tiempo, y en la extensa pampa casi virgen ...
El nombre Conchitas ya aparece en títulos de propiedad de la zona cercana al arroyo desde fines de 1700. Los historiadores aseguran que el origen del nombre se debe a la abundante presencia de conchillas en la zona y además, la explotación de las mismas para ser usada como oxido de cal. 
Pero hoy no hay rastros de esas conchillas , como tampoco canteras abandonadas donde se hallan hecho excavaciones.
Sin embargo hay un dato importante a tener en cuenta, en los cursos de agua no contaminados de la cuenca del Río de la Plata existen bivalvos. Estos bivalvos de agua dulce viven enterados en el lodo y dejan sus conchillas al morir. Por lo que muy probablemente , hayan existido en otros tiempos bivalvos, dando origen al nombre Conchitas.

コンチータス(小さな貝)の名前は1700年代末頃から小川の近辺の地権証明書に使用されていた

この地帯は貝殻が豊富に堆積し、酸化カルシウムの原料として採掘していた，しかし現在はその貝殻の影やまた見捨てられた採掘所の跡形も無くなっている

ただここに重要な事実を考慮する必要が有る，それは、ラプラタ川の汚染されていない流域では、二枚貝が生存しているのだ

この淡水の二枚貝は泥の中に住み、死後その貝殻をそこに残す

遠い昔この二枚貝が（コンチータス川に）生存し堆積したのではないか？それがコンチータスの名前の由来なのか.......
