Swallows (Phaeoprogne tapera)
It is autumn time and they again went to live his eternal summer. They are the swallows that fly 10-12000 kilometers linking North America and South America. Fourteen species of them reach Argentina. The brown swallow (Phaeoprogne tapera) flies from the state of : California, USA to the provinces of : Corrientes and Buenos Aires in Argentina; from the cities of San Juan Capistrano to the cities of Goya and Sierra de la Ventana. The swallows arrive at their destination in spring and men of all cultures and times are sensitized with at manifestations of nature. The brown swallows come in bright and noisy flocks. The natives, janeños, in the northern hemisphere called them "spirits of the air" and the South native called in mapuche language "pilmayquen" the bloom bird.
